National Park Land

The Trump administration wants to sell 3.3 million acres of national park land. This sparks a lot of controversy on both sides of the debate. One side of the debate claims we will be losing much of our country's heritage, history and traditions. 

Another loss may be Civil War battlefields. The Civil War Trust is bringing awareness and preservation to our history and heritage. They claim, "only about 20 percent of the actual land upon which the Civil War was fought is currently preserved either by nonprofits groups such as the Civil War Trust or in national, state or local parks". An acre is being lost per hour but thanks to their efforts, they have saved thousands of acres in 20 different states.
